Kyoto Leggera Chestnut, Kyoto Leggera Chestnut Iron Dyed Black, and Asakura Toru's Gatanibon were selected for the 2024 Folk Crafts Museum Exhibition.

The Japan Folk Crafts Museum Exhibition is held once a year at the Japan Folk Crafts Museum. It accepts submissions from across the country of handmade items made using traditional techniques, as well as items by individual artists who uphold the beauty of folk crafts, with the aim of promoting the development of crafts that are useful in daily life. The entry criteria is "products that are useful and can be produced repeatedly." Crafts from a wide range of fields, including ceramics, dyeing and weaving, wood lacquerware, bamboo work, etc., are selected, semi-selected, or rejected, and outstanding works are awarded prizes such as the Japan Folk Crafts Museum Award. During the exhibition, selected works are available for pre-order (for exhibition), and semi-selected works are on display and available for immediate sale, so anyone can purchase them. The Japan Folk Crafts Museum has held exhibitions of new crafts since it first opened, but it only took on its current format in 1953. In 1959, the name was changed to the current "Japan Folk Crafts Museum Exhibition," and it continues to this day. (From the Japan Folk Crafts Museum website)
