Delivery of stools and benches in 2021
A stool was made from a hornbeam tree that fell down in a typhoon on the mountain behind Koshoji Temple. The seat is made of rush weave. The vertical lines are boldly thick, while the horizontal lines are slimmer. I like this contrast, but that's not the only thing. 1. By making the legs thicker, it can be used on tatami mats. 2. Since it's made with half-green woodwork, it can be tightened as it dries, making it even more durable. Two benefits follow.

朝倉木工では家具製作がメインですが、我谷盆も制作しています。朝鮮家具をはじめとして韓国の骨董を専門に扱う「川口美術」さんにて、作家約25名による我谷盆展に毎年、出品参加。

A Japanese kaiseki restaurant in Osaka. It was a masterpiece that fully responded to the spirit of Mr. Ueno, who asked us to do a big job in the first year of business at the time. Please take a look at the large table 3000×1200×H700 in the private room on the 2nd floor, which has become more lustrous and dignified over time.
The table top, which boldly leaves the scraping marks, changes its beautiful expression every time it is oiled. The flooring is renewed with tatami mats. (The counter chairs on the first floor are the work of Jiro Hoshima, a woodworking artist.)
