●About the store and reservations

Q: I haven't decided whether to buy it yet, but is it okay if I just look at it? ​A: Of course it doesn't matter. Please experience the feel, texture, comfort, and other aspects that cannot be conveyed through photos or words.

Q: I suddenly have something to go to nearby, can I contact you on the day and see the shop? ​A: On weekdays and every other Saturday, most of our work is made in our workshop, so you can almost always visit our shop on the same day. Please call us. However, if the representative is not available due to delivery or purchasing, our staff will guide you. It will go smoothly if you call us before coming to the store.

Q: Is there a bus? Please tell me how to get there by public transportation. ​A: Rokujizo Station is located 11 minutes by rapid train from JR Kyoto Station. Unfortunately, the bus only runs halfway. There is a taxi stand in front of JR/Subway Rokujizo Station. It is 5.5 km and 13 minutes from JR Rokujizo Station to Asakura Mokko. (around 2,000 yen to 2,400 yen)

Q: Is there a place to eat nearby? ​A: There are several shops to which Kyoto Sumiya Asakura Mokko's furniture has been delivered. We will introduce 5 nearby properties. Please come and visit us. ・2 minutes by car "Kigyusha Cafe & Lunch" Renovated Kigyusha. Delivered some of Asakura Mokko's wipe lacquer corner cut trays. Closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (irregular holidays). 20 seats. 5 parking spaces available. ・13 minutes by car "Curry Design Office" Old house renovation. Delivered Asakura Mokko's elephant stool. Reservations for lunch are guaranteed. Closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Sundays. 20 seats. 4 parking spaces available. ・16 minutes by car "Everyone's Café Guriguri" O-chair and to-chair, corner and round tables. Daily lunch and curry. You can take it home. 10 seats. Day off. There are 3 parking spaces. ・16 minutes by car "LovA Uji" Old folk house, seasonal cuisine and tempura. Delivered a table with center legs carved from keyaki wood. 28 seats available. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. 2 parking spaces available. ・36 minutes by car: Delivered a large Bubinga table with a shaved top and O-chair leather seats for the table seats to a private kaiseki room at Nanzenji Junsho (Tofu). Q: Are there any recommended detour spots for everyone to stop by? ​A: Yes. In addition to tourist attractions, the area is home to many popular bakeries and pottery workshops. Q: I am a woodworking student. Is it possible to tour the workshop? ​A: Yes. Woodworkers and students are welcome to visit us on open shop days (usually every Saturday and Sunday from 1:00pm to 5:00pm). Please give us a shout. Due to various circumstances, we may only offer information at the SHOP.
